The Story

It started with two students
and a belief in second chances.

During college, my professor pulled me aside and asked me to tutor two struggling high school students — to sit with them, mentor them, and help them find their way. I said yes without hesitation.

What happened over the next few months changed my life. I watched two young people who were on the verge of giving up rediscover their confidence, push through every obstacle, and get back on track.

That's when I realized something I can't un-see: the difference between a student who makes it and one who doesn't often comes down to one thing — someone who believes in them. Not a system. Not a program. A person.

NextGen Tutoring exists to be that person for every student who needs it.
